Where do Charleston Chefs eat?
Guests on our Undiscovered Charleston: Food History Walking Tour often ask me where to go for a fine dining dinner. Other times, guests will ask where I (or other chefs like me) like to eat on our days off. In the middle of a food tour, it can be hard to remember all the suggestions I make, so I wanted to post some suggestions.
The restaurants featured here on the Chef’s Guide to Eating in Undiscovered Charleston are only suggestions, but they’re all places we’ve enjoyed, and continue to enjoy regularly. They’re places where we know or have worked with the Chefs, or places we enjoy going to recharge or to discover inspiration. It’s intended simply as a celebration of those restaurants where we like to go as Chefs.
Where will you eat when you explore Charleston? If you want to discover South Carolina history through the lens of food, then what better way than to learn first hand with an Undiscovered Charleston Food History Tour? SC Chef Ambassador Forrest Parker guides his guests on a walking tour through Charleston food history, then prepares three courses with wine pairings to help connect the dots.
