Dear Undiscovered Charleston Family,
As a career chef of over 25 years, hospitality has always been deep in my DNA. My Undiscovered Charleston is a tiny business built around my sincere belief that as a chef my #1 responsibility has always been taking care of my team and my guests. More than ever, this is especially the case now. I want all guests to know that we’re taking the necessary precautions in order to continue to create a food and history experience that is above all not just delicious but clean, healthy and safe.
Undiscovered Charleston is closely monitoring updates from the Center for Disease Control, World Health Organization, and federal and local governments, and we are taking precautionary measures to ensure the safety and well-being of our guests, teammates and partners as we learn more about COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
Measures We’re Taking:
Based on the recommendations from health organizations, we’re taking appropriate measures to mitigate any potential spread of the COVID-19/Coronavirus:
- Adhering to the guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
- Staying educated daily on preventative measures.
- Increasing the extent and frequency of already rigorous cleaning practices, including ensuring accessibility to hand washing and hand sanitizing for partners and guests, and sanitizing all hard surfaces, especially those high touch surfaces frequently in use such as door handles.
- Ensuring all working partners are healthy.
- Increasing space between tables and barstools to create greater social distance.
I encourage guests to:
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and warm water for 20 seconds.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick, and stay home if you’re sick.
- Cover your nose and mouth when you cough or sneeze.
In order to protect our guests, partners and families, we do kindly ask that if you are sick, to please stay home.
We understand that with the unknown spread of the Coronavirus, many of you are rethinking your travel and social plans. We want to take this opportunity to also share our new flexible booking options to bring you added peace of mind.
As a Reminder:
- Currently there are no travel restrictions for domestic travel within the U.S.
- All of our food and drink experiences are small. And because we are on foot and predominantly outdoors, we are not confined to tight quarters.
Your options:
- If you are sick or in a higher risk category, please contact us. We will happily get you rebooked for a time you are well again and can fully enjoy all the food and history that Undiscovered Charleston has to offer.
